On Saturday, January 13th, the Fallston Rec Boys Lacrosse program, in cooperation with the Warthogs Box Lacrosse program, hosted a fun and instructional "Skills and Drills" event at the Freestate Sports Arena in White Marsh. Dozens of our Fallston Rec boys attended the two, hour-and-a-half sessions to work on stick-skills and learn some of the basics of the indoor game that they can carry-over to the field game in the coming season.
Warthogs coaches Kevin Huntley and Athan Sunderland constructed a program that provided a nice introduction to the sport for some of our newest lacrosse stars as well as giving the more experienced boys some tips and techniques to build on for the future. Fallston coaches were invited to participate and walked away with some new drills and ideas to incorporate into their plans moving forward.
Most importantly, everyone had a great time out on the floor! Thank you, coaches Huntley and Sunderland for planning such a fun and instructional event!
A second "Skills and Drills" day is scheduled for this coming Saturday, January 20th! All registered Fallston Rec boys from second grade on up are encouraged to attend.
